Marketing Associate
Gorton’s, America’s leader in frozen seafood since 1849, has an excellent opportunity for an individual interested in consumer goods marketing. Gorton’s offers the combination of an entrepreneurial spirit often found in small organizations, along with the opportunity to be part of an innovative consumer products leader with global resources.
As a Marketing Associate, at our Gloucester, Massachusetts headquarters, you will contribute to marketing initiatives within our Consumer Marketing, Customer Marketing or Marketing Research areas. Your responsibilities will include the execution of consumer or customer marketing programs such as: brochure development, implementing packaging changes, coordinating in store promotions, developing customer level marketing initiatives, evaluating trade spending effectiveness, conducting or evaluating consumer research, and the development of point-of-sale materials. Over time, you will be given greater responsibility in the development and implementation of marketing initiatives to help grow our business. You will be expected to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams made up of individuals in other disciplines, including extensive involvement with our Sales activity. The goal of this assignment is to develop a talented individual for greater responsibility in marketing, sales or other areas within Gorton’s.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s Degree with evidence of academic success
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Strong creative skills
- Exceptional written & verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in PC applications
- Negotiations skills
- Positive, can do attitude
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
Candidates must have permanent U.S. work authorization.
